This project aims to develop an interactive, VR -based healthcare simulation platform to support training in aging care. The project focuses on designing lifelike scenarios that replicate real-world challenges faced by older adults, caregivers, and healthcare professionals. Using AI-driven technologies, simulation will enable users to interact with virtual patients in immersive, dynamic environments. These simulations will include realistic communication, decision-making tasks, and environmental interactions to enhance learning outcomes. Undergraduate team members will contribute to both the technical and research aspects of the project. This includes developing VR-based environments, implementing interactive features in Unity, assisting with data collection, and supporting user studies involving participants such as older adults and healthcare trainees. Students will also help analyze qualitative and quantitative data to improve the simulation design and functionality. |
