Description:
This research will explore the effects of technological scaffolds, specifically visual and audio co-pilots, on performance within an immersive virtual reality (I-VR) racing environment. - Investigate how different types of cognitive (technological) scaffolding (i.e., visual or auditory aids) impact performance in a simulated racing environment. Examine the relationship between types of task knowledge and the effectiveness of training. - Assess how the sense of presence affects the relationship between cognitive scaffolds and performance outcomes - Contribute to the development of effective technological supports for enhancing cognitive processes in virtual reality training environments.
