Undergraduate Students

Engaging in research is one of the most impactful experiences undergraduate students can have, and employers and admissions committees are increasingly seeing it as a strong predictor of future success. Knight Research Scholars participate in team-based research led by an experienced graduate student or postdoctoral scholar. Those who develop a deepening interest and aptitude for the research often continue for multiple semesters, gradually taking on more responsibility for the project and possibly mentoring new team members.

• Must be an undergraduate student enrolled in classes at the UCF
• Browse the project list to find opportunities that match your interests, goals, and availability
• Contact the Team Leader to learn more about a project and explore joining the team
  • If selected as a new team member, the team leader will notify you by email and provide a registration form
  • Team Leaders may incorporate undergraduate students into their teams at any time, although most join before the start of a semester
